The highly anticipated series “Lessons in Chemistry,” adapted from Bonnie Garmus’s best-selling novel, is on the horizon.

The first two installments of this eight-episode limited series are scheduled for release on Friday, October 13.

In anticipation of the premiere, here’s a comprehensive look at what you need to know about this upcoming series:

Who’s in the “Lessons in Chemistry” Series? Set in the early 1960s, the series features actress Brie Larson in the role of Elizabeth Zott, a talented chemist whose life takes a dramatic turn when she becomes a single mother and an unlikely star of a TV cooking show.

In her new TV role, Elizabeth endeavors to teach a nation of underestimated housewives (and the suddenly attentive men) much more than just recipes, as described in the show’s synopsis.

Joining Larson in this forthcoming series is Lewis Pullman, known for his role in “Top Gun: Maverick.”

The cast also includes Aja Naomi King, a NAACP Image Award winner and star of “How to Get Away With Murder.” Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, and Thomas Mann round out the ensemble.

Is There a Trailer for “Lessons in Chemistry”? Yes, the trailer for the new series was unveiled in September.

When Was the “Lessons in Chemistry” Book Published? Bonnie Garmus’s debut novel, which achieved best-selling status, was released in April 2022.

The book was named the 2022 Barnes & Noble Book of the Year and was also chosen as the “GMA” Book Club selection for April 2022.

According to Garmus, her book is a must-read for those who are weary of the various ways in which misogyny, racism, and lingering societal burdens continue to make life difficult for others, issues that should have long been eradicated. She also noted that readers might appreciate a good laugh and find inspiration in the story of a woman from the ’60s who refuses to conform, inspiring a nation to embrace daring non-conformity.

Where Can I Watch “Lessons in Chemistry”? “Lessons in Chemistry” will be available for streaming on Apple TV+. New episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, running through November 24.
